Weather for You has been on-line since December, 1998, with a goal of becoming a true personal weather site.  It was started for four primary purposes.  First, to demonstrate the contributions of personal and home weather stations.  Hundreds of these have been established in towns that are many miles from "official" stations and are important to giving relevant information close to home.  The National Weather Service also uses this data for research and educational purposes.  The second purpose was to provide visitors with local forecasts, radar maps, satellite maps and other information without distracting advertising.  Much more can be gained from a person who enjoys their visit and returns.  Third, it is my intent to always be honest about the information provided by accurately describing when information was obtained and where it really came from.  And finally, I intend to be responsive to the needs of visitors.  Much of what you'll find on Weather for You came from other visitor's suggestions.  So I encourage you to use the "Suggestion Box" and give any feedback you have about what you like, don't like and should be added.  I hope you find the site useful for your needs and will return when you are looking for weather information.  Thanks for visiting Weather for You!
